Breast Augmentation With Lift
in Houston, TX
Every year, thousands of women seek out breast enhancement surgeries to help them achieve the feminine figure they have envisioned for themselves. Combining breast augmentation with a breast lift offers the ultimate transformation to the appearance of your breasts.
A breast lift (mastopexy) alone can result in perky breasts but cannot increase volume. Breast augmentation surgery (augmentation mammaplasty) successfully enlarges the breasts but is unable to elevate them or reposition downward-facing nipples.
What is Breast Augmentation With Lift?
Breast augmentation with a lift, which is also known as augmentation mastopexy, yields the combined benefits of both breast enhancement procedures. The result is fuller, more elevated, youthful breasts and renewed confidence.
What Are the Benefits of Breast Augmentation With Breast Lift?
Multiple factors can affect the breasts, including pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, genetics, and more. Many women are dissatisfied with small, asymmetrical, or saggy breasts or are unhappy with the breasts’ projection or the appearance of uneven or large nipples. Augmentation mastopexy has many benefits, including:
- Improved breast volume
- Enhanced breast shape
- Reposition drooping nipples
- Breasts are lifted and enlarged in one surgery
- Results look better than having either surgery on its own
- Combined recovery time
Am I a Candidate for Breast Augmentation With Breast Lift?
A good candidate for augmentation mastopexy is someone who is dissatisfied with the current size, shape, and projection of their breasts. The ideal candidate for this procedure is in good health, does not smoke, and has realistic expectations about the outcome.
To determine your candidacy, schedule a consultation with Dr. Bedolla by calling (281) 990-8487 today.

How Is Breast Augmentation With Breast Lift Performed?
Augmentation mastopexy is performed as a single procedure under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. The treatment plan will dictate the specifics of the procedure but generally will follow a format. Dr. Bedolla makes an incision, then excess skin is excised, the breast tissue is reshaped and lifted, the nipple-areola complexes are resized and repositioned, and the selected breast implant is placed in the desired position.
Several options make this procedure custom to each patient, including incision placement, implant material and shape, and implant placement.
Incision Location
Where exactly the incision is placed will depend on several factors, including skin elasticity, nipple location, aesthetic goals, and Dr. Bedolla’s recommendation. The options include:
- Periareolar: This incision circles the areola and is used when there is minimal sagging.
- Lollipop: This incision encircles the areola and is brought down to the lower crease of the breast, forming a lollipop shape. This incision is appropriate for moderate dropping and excess skin.
- Anchor or Inverted T: The most extensive and popular incision, the anchor allows for the most accuracy and flexibility with contouring and lifting the breasts.
Implant Materials
Dr. Bedolla works with three kinds of implants:
- Saline implants are filled with sterile saltwater. If ruptured, the saline solution is safely absorbed by the body and the change is immediately noticeable. These are FDA-approved for patients 18 and older.
- Silicone implants consist of silicone gel filling and are soft like natural breast tissue. If they rupture, it’s usually not noticeable right away, so regular screenings are required. Saline implants are FDA-approved for patients 22 and older.
- Gummy Bear implants are made of highly cohesive silicone that will not leak if ruptured. They also feel soft like natural breasts and are FDA-approved for patients 22 and older.
Implant Shape
In addition to implant material, there are two shapes to choose from—round and anatomical (teardrop-shaped).
- Round implants lend more fullness to the upper breasts. Due to their uniform shape, they don’t cause deformity if they rotate.
- Teardrop-shaped implants look more like the naturally tapered shape of breasts, but any rotation can cause an unnatural appearance.
Implant Placement
There are two placement options for breast implants.
Subglandular implants are placed beneath the fat and glandular tissue in breasts but above the muscle. This placement lends a more natural look and allows for less deformity due to muscle movement.
Submuscular implants are placed beneath the pectoral muscle in the chest. This placement allows for more implant coverage and support and is a great option for those with less breast tissue.
Dr. Bedolla will create a treatment plan, including incision placement and implant types, based on your goals and his recommendations to meet those.
What Is Recovery Like After a Combined Breast Augmentation and Lift?
After surgery, you will be moved to a private recovery room for monitoring. A compression bra will be fitted to your breasts to provide support and minimize swelling. You will need someone to drive you home, and you will be required to minimize strenuous activities for at least a week or two. Many patients can return to work after one to two weeks.
Dr. Bedolla will provide you with detailed post-surgical instructions, including when you can drive and exercise again. Follow these carefully for optimal recovery.
What Results Can I Expect From Breast Augmentation With Lift?
Your breasts’ appearance will be improved immediately. However, as healing progresses and swelling is resolved over time, the full beauty of your results will become more apparent.
Breast implants are not designed to last forever, but they can last anywhere from 10 to 30 years. Augmentation mastopexy cannot stop the aging process, but your breasts will always look perkier and more youthful than if you had not undergone surgery.
Breast augmentation with lift is a transformative surgery that will bring about stunning results you will enjoy for years to come. From the way you look in clothes and photos to the way you feel on a day-to-day basis, you can expect to feel confident in your skin for decades to come.
How Much Does Breast Augmentation With Lift Cost in Houston?
The cost of augmentation mastopexy depends on a variety of factors, including your goals, implant type, location, and more. Dr. Bedolla will provide you with exact details of the costs at the time of your consultation.
